{"id":196321,"date":"2023-11-27T12:36:29","date_gmt":"2023-11-27T12:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tokenstalk.info\/?p=196321"},"modified":"2023-11-27T12:36:29","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T12:36:29","slug":"bouncer-punches-ed-sheeran-fan-to-the-floor-in-unprovoked-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tokenstalk.info\/world-news\/bouncer-punches-ed-sheeran-fan-to-the-floor-in-unprovoked-attack\/","title":{"rendered":"Bouncer punches Ed Sheeran fan to the floor in &apos;unprovoked&apos; attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Moment strip club bouncer punches Ed Sheeran fan to the floor in &#8216;unprovoked&#8217; attack while on the way home from a concert<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kevin Davies, 39, was working in Cardiff when he set upon Michael Barraclough<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He was convicted of causing GBH and handed a 12 month suspended sentence<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr Barraclough broke his cheekbone, eye socket and jaw during the attack<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the moment a strip club bouncer was caught punching a passing Ed Sheeran fan to the floor\u00a0in an &#8216;unprovoked&#8217; attack while on the way home from a concert.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Davies, 39, was working as a doorman at For Your Eyes Only in Cardiff at 4:27am when he set upon Michael Barraclough on his way home from seeing the singer at the Principality Stadium in May 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Shocking footage captured on nearby CCTV shows the moment Davies marched up to Mr Barraclough, who was with his girlfriend at the time, and knocked him to the ground with a punch to the head.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The music fan quickly gets back to his feet before walking up to the bouncer, who then grabs his shirt and delivers another brutal punch to the other side of his face, again knocking Mr Barraclough to the floor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Davies, of Blaenavon, Gwent, was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm and was handed a 12 month suspended sentence for the &#8216;brutal unprovoked attack&#8217; on\u00a0Mr Barraclough who suffered a broken cheekbone, eye socket and jaw.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/12\/78275143-12795293-Mr_Barraclough_was_with_his_girlfriend_at_the_time_pictured_toge-m-1_1701087457698.jpg\" height=\"1025\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mr Barraclough was with his girlfriend at the time (pictured together) when they were walking home from seeing Ed Sheeran at the Principality Stadium<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/11\/78275133-12795293-image-a-20_1701083617919.jpg\" height=\"633\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Kevin Davies (pictured), 39, was working as a doorman at For Your Eyes Only in Cardiff at 4:27am when he set upon Michael Barraclough in May 2022<\/p>\n<p>Nuhu Gobir, prosecuting, said CCTV showed Davies &#8216;delivering a blindside punch to the right side of his face.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;That punch immediately and forcefully sends the complainant to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He grabbed the complainant&#8217;s T-shirt close to his collar with both fists and swung him around and he delivered another forceful punch, this time to the left side of the complainant&#8217;s face.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Gobir asked Mr Barraclough: &#8216;Had you done anything to provoke the doorman?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He told the jury: &#8216;I wouldn&#8217;t know him from Adam. I think he went steaming in and knocked me out cold. It was unnecessary.
