<\/p>\nAN ELDERLY man is fighting for his life after being mowed down by a car in a Salford Tesco car park.<\/p>\n
The 81-year-old was raced to hospital at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, after emergency services were called out to the Tesco Extra in Pendleton.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He remains in critical condition, while cops confirmed no arrests have been made. <\/p>\n
The driver of the vehicle involved is said to be "assisting officers" as investigations continue.<\/p>\n
Greater Manchester Police have not revealed the make or model of car.<\/p>\n
Force investigators have urged witnesses to come forward with any information and advised those with dash cam footage to help with their enquiries. <\/p>\n
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 2.30pm on Tuesday 14 November 2023, emergency services were called to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on the car park of Tesco Extra, Pendleton. <\/p>\n "The pedestrian, an 81-year-old man, is in a critical condition in hospital.<\/p>\n "No arrests have been made and the driver of the vehicle is assisting the police with their enquiries. <\/p>\n "Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any CCTV or dashcam footage should contact GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit on\u00a00161 856 4741\u00a0quoting log 2118-14\/11\/2023."<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/ah-OFF-PLATFORM-bosnia-footballer-death.jpg\")
