{"id":194619,"date":"2023-10-05T15:30:49","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T15:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tokenstalk.info\/?p=194619"},"modified":"2023-10-05T15:30:49","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T15:30:49","slug":"boats-crash-and-capsize-at-chinese-theme-park-as-passengers-cling-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tokenstalk.info\/world-news\/boats-crash-and-capsize-at-chinese-theme-park-as-passengers-cling-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Boats crash and capsize at Chinese theme park, as passengers cling on"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Horror on the water slide: Boats crash and capsize at Chinese theme park, leaving passengers to cling on\u2026 before one thrill-seeker tries to walk to safety and is taken out by another boat<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Footage shows passengers screaming as they are knocked out of their boat\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the horrifying moment boats crash and capsize on a Chinese waterslide, leaving distressed passengers shrieking as they try to cling on &#8211; with one woman taken out by another vessel as she tries to walk to safety.<\/p>\n<p>The first terrified woman, who was knocked out of her boat along with a small child, can be heard screaming in panic in the shocking footage filmed on Saturday in\u00a0Tonglu in Zhejiang Province.<\/p>\n<p>An oncoming boat then thumps into the two, knocking them further down the glass passage.<\/p>\n<p>Unable to stop themselves from being pushed along the waterside, the woman is seen wrapping her arms around the child as she tries to cling onto the boat behind them.<\/p>\n<p>Despite having very short rails either side, the water slide is built several metres above the ground and is nestled between treetops.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/15\/76207871-12597911-image-a-61_1696515992179.jpg\" height=\"357\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Footage initially shows the woman and child (centre) getting knocked out of their boat as an oncoming vessel thumps into them<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/15\/76207889-12597911-image-a-63_1696516005428.jpg\" height=\"357\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>One woman screams as she is seen trying to walk to safety after being knocked out of her boat<\/p>\n<p>Groups of three or four passengers wearing plastic ponchos are seen in the yellow boats trailing the stricken pair as the woman&#8217;s terrified scream continues to ring out.<\/p>\n<p>Following behind the convoy of vessels, another alarmed woman emerges &#8211; this time standing up and shuffling down the passage as she tries to scramble to safety.<\/p>\n<p>She continues to yell in desperation before she approaches a large pole to cling to. But as she tries to reach for safety, the woman slips, almost falling over the edge of the ride &#8211; which appears to be at least 12ft above the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The woman prevents herself from falling off, however, but still remains stranded. She continues to scream, jumping up and down in panic.<\/p>\n<p>Passersby are seen below the slide as they try to help her. One person is seen running towards what appears to be the start of the slide in an apparent attempt to alert staff of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Another man climbs up onto a nearby pole to see if he can somehow offer any help.<\/p>\n<p>But suddenly the woman is swept away by a thrust of water that takes her legs out from underneath her.<\/p>\n<p>Two boats follow behind her, knocking into the woman before she is swept down the slide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The woman was\u00a0<span>miraculously saved at the next turn, reports claimed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The child who had earlier been forced out of the boat sustained several injuries, and was bleeding from their head.
