The application serves individual users, allowing them to open digital renminbi wallets to make use of e-CNY. <\/p>\n<p>As per the latest iOS app update published on Sept. 22, version 1.1.1 includes the support of its top-up service with international card options. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-09\/8acc8178-ae7a-43b7-86c4-7ed8237c596a.png\"><\/p>\n<p>According to a number of local Chinese news outlets, the latest version of the e-CNY app coincides with the start of the Asian Games. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-09\/e76ae3e9-bf29-4149-9a2c-e22b9757c670.png\"><\/p>\n<p>China had extensively trialed the use of the digital renminbi as a payment option for foreigners visiting the country.
