Warning to parents after man tries to grab girl, 5, in park as cops hunt creep | The Sun
PARENTS have been given a warning after a man tried to snatch a little girl from a park.
The girl, 5, was playing in Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester, when the creep approached her and attempted to pick her up, according to police.
Thankfully, he was stopped as shocked parents and bystanders intervened.
The man then ran off into nearby woodland, while the child was unharmed.
Cops have launched a search for the man, describing him as a tall, white male.
He is understood to have been wearing black gloves, a red bobble hat, a black jacket and a backpack.

Chief Inspect Ian Partington of Greater Manchester Police said: "We understand that this incident has caused some concern in the community.
"We thank the public for their patience and assistance so far, and ask that anyone with information should contact us first to aid our investigation."
