Two police officers killed by ‘active shooter’ in Hawaii – The Sun

TWO police officers were killed by an 'active shooter' in Hawaii on Sunday morning.

Honolulu police responded to an assault call in Waikiki when they came across a gun-toting male, according to The Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Police are on the lookout for the suspected gunman, who was possibly inside a home which caught fire.

The Honolulu Fire Department was battling the blazes at the home, which was immersed in flames following the shooting.

A police investigation prompted the closure of the area of Hibicus Dr. and connecting streets, Honolulu Police stated.
