SAS veteran Mark 'Billy' Billingham has recalled the unforgettable moment he captured war criminals involved in the Bosnian War, who were terrified when the special forces showed up.
The former soldier said in a podcast ahead of Armed Forces Day today (June 26) that ridding the world of such evil people was "fantastic".
Mark, who is also a DS (directing staff) on Channel 4's hit show SAS Who Dares Wins, told Life on the Line host Alex Lloyd: "If there's one thing that I would say I really, really enjoyed and I'd do again tomorrow and every other day again was capturing people indicted for war crimes.
"In my eyes, [they are] f***ing scumbags. [They are] people who run concentration camps, killing civilians."
The 55-year-old participated in the Bosnian War and was sent to the war zone to capture the war criminals when the armed conflict ended in 1995.
Mark said: "In every war you'll get an element of lunatics who have the opportunity to run wild because they think they can and Bosnia was a massive example of that and that was a massive eye-opener to me of how evil people can be.

"At the end of the war, our tasks were to go and get these f***ers and tell you what, it was a pleasure catching these scumbags and watching them cower and s*** their pants and literally p*** their pants when they get caught.
"The ones that did get caught were the ones that didn't get killed in the firefight…gutless people.
"To me, ridding the world of that lot was fantastic."
After leaving the military, Billy became a bodyguard to the stars with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Russell Crowe and Tom Cruise.
And in the latest Channel 4 hit series, he worked along with chief instructor Ant Middleton and DS Jason "Foxy" Fox to pick the best candidate among a group of recruit.
