Neither the King nor the Prince of Wales will meet with Harry during his visit, a palace insider claimed, adding: Charles had ‘no time in the diary’ to see his son. William is not thought to have been in touch with Harry for months.
Harry will celebrate the achievements and resilience of seriously ill youngsters and the families supported by WellChild today, a charity of which he has been patron for 15 years. And at the weekend he will be in Dusseldorf in Germany for the opening ceremony of his Invictus Games.

The pair will instead mark the moment privately tomorrow at their Scottish retreat, where they are spending their traditional summer break. It is understood that an invitation to the Royal Family’s annual summer get-together at Balmoral had not been extended to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex this year.

Harry also appeared to again criticise his family last month in a multi-million-pound television series about the Invictus Games, the international sporting tournament he founded for wounded veterans.
In an interview for the TV streaming giant Netflix, the Duke launched a fresh attack, saying that he had ‘no support structure’ to help him cope with his mental health issues stemming from his time in Afghanistan and the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
He said: ‘The biggest struggle for me was no one around me really could help. I didn’t have that support structure, that network, or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me.’
The documentary series, called ‘Heart of Invictus’, was filmed during last year’s games in The Hague, Netherlands.
In addition to attending this year’s Invictus Games, Harry is also set to take part in a German version of ‘Match of the Day’ to help promote the competition.
