A woman has been left raging after seeing her delivery driver allegedly eating her McDonald’s order outside her home – just after he had supposedly cancelled it.
The footage, shared on Twitter, shows the man sitting down outside her front garden.
He is holding a brown paper bag – much like ones used by McDonald’s for their takeaways.
But the man is facing away so it is not clear if he is actually eating anything.
The customer’s brother, who goes by the name
on Twitter, shared the clip on on January 13 and claimed the driver was working for Just Eat.
“Yo @JustEatUK, my sister ordered @McDonaldsUK on your site yesterday from Kentish Town McDonald’s and the driver cancelled the order sat, outside her house and ate the food wtf,” he wrote.
In a statement to Daily Star, though, a Just Eat spokesperson explained that they often engage with third-party courier companies, agency couriers and self-employed independent contractors and that there was no conclusive evidence the driver in the video was their own employee.
A spokesperson added: “At Just Eat we're committed to providing a positive experience for all of our customers.
“When we become aware of any practices that fall below the high standards we expect, we will always take steps to address this.
“As such, we were concerned to hear about this incident. We are investigating, will take action as appropriate and are also in contact with the customer."
Daily Star has contacted McDonald’s for further comment.
Fans of the fast food giant have been forced to get their fix from drive-thrus and takeaways for the foreseeable future.
The chain announced earlier this month it would be closing all its restaurants in line with the third national lockdown.
