Man mocked with hilarious puns after police catch him with samosa up his bum
A man was ridiculed online with hilarious puns after police caught him with a samosa up his bum.
The suspect had tried to sneak the tasty Indian fried snack into his cell, claiming her feared he would not get any decent food after being arrested, Birmingham Live reports.
Bemused internet users were quick to mock the incident after West Midlands Police some of their more unusual arrests of 2020.
Andrew Christou wrote: "The sheer 'cheek' of it, I mean what? No mint yoghurt…lame!"
"Good job he hadn't put chilli sauce on it," Mark Bowler added.
Justin Case joked: "I heard there was a bit of argy bhaji."
Speaking about the incident, Inspector Manj Ahir from West Midlands Police Criminal Justice department, said: "We've had a few odd incidents.
"One that sticks in my mind was a man found with a samosa secreted between his buttocks during a search.
"He said he wanted to sneak it into the cell as a snack as he didn't think the food was up to much. He'd obviously not read our positive Tripadvisor reviews!"

The funny anecdote became a big hit online.
Seeing the practical side of the unique hiding place, Craig Garbett said: "At least it would have been nice and warm."
Fatal Hussain wrote: "Poor guy was hungry should have let him finish his samosa, he probably had some chutney hidden too."
"Did he have naan bread pants by any chance," Proppac Hunt quipped.
