Jealous killer who murdered pregnant ex-wife with crossbow shows ‘no regret’

A killer has never shown remorse over slaying his pregnant ex-wife with a crossbow.

And detectives believe he would have struck again given the chance.

Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo stalked Sana Muhammad for years before the attack.

Hardened detective Gary Holmes was stunned by the lack of emotion he saw in the interview room soon after the killing.

He said: “His entire response to the news his former wife was dead was quite chilling. He bore no emotion. Unmathallegadoo to my knowledge has never shown remorse.”

The fiend started plotting to kill Sana, 35, after she left him and set up a new life in Essex with another man. She was weeks from giving birth when he shot her at home.

Mr Holmes said: “What stood out was the hatred that he was driven by. He hated her because she’d taken the decision she was not going to be bullied.”

He fears the fiend, jailed for 33 years, would have struck again, adding: “I believe he’d have planned to kill the new husband.”

The case features on Killer Britain, on Crime+Investigation, on Thursday at 9pm.
