Police reveal man and woman in their 50s found dead with gunshot wounds in rural Leicestershire village are married couple – adding they are ‘not looking for anyone else’
A husband and wife have been found shot to death in a rural Leicestershire village.
Police were called to an address in Saddington, Leicestershire at 11.27am on Friday following reports that a man and woman had been found dead.
The pair have been named as Richard Harrison, 59, and his wife Rachel Harrison, 54.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out and confirmed that both died from gunshot wounds.
Detective Inspector David Greenhalgh said: ‘This is a deeply tragic incident.

‘Officers are continuing to support the family during this extremely difficult time.
‘We will continue to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
‘But I can confirm we do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
‘A file will be prepared for HM Coroner.’
Saddington is a small village in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, which is home to just over 300 people.
