Drug cartel delivers hundreds of toys to kids in hospital as gifts from El Chapo
While El Chapo is behind bars in the US, it hasn't stopped the Sinaloa Cartel from showcasing their Christmas spirit by donating 800 gifts to children in hospital.
Acting as Mexico's answer to Father Christmas in a move that many will call propaganda, the former drug lord's crew have sent presents to Ciudad de Los Ninos, Campo La Michoacana, Navolato, and the Pediatric Hospital, all signed with the initials JGL (El Chapo's real name — Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera) . And if that wasn't enough, the cartel also made sure that the facilities were well provided with food for the hospitalised workers and infants.
And as it turns out, this isn't the first time the controversial figure's squad have committed this kind of act.

Just a few months ago, the notorious criminals delivered shopping to families rendered desperate in Navolato following the rough impact of Storm Norma. In a sequence of events that must have left bystanders in a state of bewilderment, several vans arrived with young people jumping out, dropping off different toys in their hundreds to families in different towns and communities in Sinaloa.
Bizarrely, it turns out El Chapo's boys aren't the only men with drug experience to have started showing his charitable side. In September, The Jalisco New Generation Cartel – led by elusive drug lord El Mencho – gave away several new computers to a school. And remarkably, the powerhouse even signed the message himself.
While his gang is undeniably the most dangerous in Mexico, he gave away the equipment, with a display on each of the computers featuring a CJNG logo alongside the message: "These computers are donated by Mr Mencho in support of the students of this school so that they have better and greater learning."

In 2022, the CJNG hitmen parked on the streets of Guadalajara, with an enormous Father Christmas attached to one of their vehicles and handed out toys to a huge crowd of children that gathered for a spot of festive joy.
Furthermore, back in May, to celebrate Children's Day, they handed out several footballs and Gucci bags with their logo embroidered onto the design. They signed the gifts: "Happy Children's Day from your friends at the CJNG."
However, while they're seemingly nice around the holiday season, don't let it slip your mind, that shortly after this, it came out that they'd kidnapped a rival and removed his eyes from his face.
