Denver weather: Fifth straight day in the 90s. Will there be more?

Denver will pop into the 90s for the fifth straight day and for the fifth time in 2021 on Wednesday. It’s more of the same weather pattern that has hung around the Front Range lately.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, the Mile High City will reach 92 degrees under sunny skies on Wednesday. Winds could gust near 20 mph in the afternoon, and unlike the last few days, there is no severe weather threat.

The nighttime low will be 61 degrees. There is an air quality alert due to fires elsewhere in the southwest bringing some smoke into the area.

Thursday will be the hottest day of the week with a high forecasted of 96 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Winds could gust up to 25 mph while temperatures drop to 55 degrees overnight.

A front will bring cooler temperatures on Friday with a high expected to still be above average for this time of year at 85 degrees. It will be 57 degrees Friday night leading to more 90-degree days this coming weekend.
