Dad and two sons found dead in horror shooting at farm in Ireland

A DAD and his two sons have been found dead in a horror shooting at a farm in Ireland.

One of the men, in his 20s, was found in a bedroom in the family home in County Cork.

Two more bodies, of a man in his late 50s and another man in his 20s, were later discovered in nearby lands after an air search.

All three men are believed to have suffered gunshot wounds.

It is believed a woman in her 60s called cops this morning after neighbours reported hearing gunshots at her home.

Armed officers swooped in on the scene and negotiators attempted to make contact with the family.

FAMILY SHOOTING

Just after 1pm a member of the Emergency Response Unit approached the house and discovered the body of the young man.

No other people were present in the house.

An aerial search was then launched and at around 1.40pm the two other bodies were discovered.

Both locations have now been declared as crime scenes and a major investigation into all of the circumstances is underway.

Gardai say they are not looking for any other people in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information which could help the investigation is asked to contact Garda at Mallow station on 022 314 50, the confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
