IG Group, which is listed and headquartered in London, announced on Thursday that it had appointed Katherine Whitton as its new Global Chief Marketing Officer and also became the new executive committee. According to the press release, she will report to June Felix, the global IG Group CEO.

The new CMO of IG Group has over 30 years of experience in the marketing field. She was once named among the top 10 most effective marketers at Campaign magazine’s Power 100.

Her background in financial services and consumer brands will enhance our strategic vision and help us connect with and support our core stakeholders. The announcement notes that she’ll be based in London.
Recent Promotion of IG Group UK CEO
Last month, IG Group promoted Matt Macklin as the new Chief Executive Officer of the United Kingdom, Asia-Pacific and Emerging Markets. According to his Linkedin profile, he is based in London and has already assumed his new responsibilities earlier this month.
After spending more than three years as the broker’s UK Head, he has been promoted from the role. Macklin is an expert in the trading industry, especially forex and CFDs, and has worked for almost two decades for multiple brokers. He spent most of his professional career with IG.
